A member asked:

My pulse rate sometimes drop below 60 on my oximeter this has been going on for a few days what could be the cause?

60: 60 beats per minute while at rest is normal. Your baseline heart rate may be around 72 if you're average. It is not unusual for our heart rate to vary depending upon activity, mental factors, food or drink, sleep. If you're still concerned ask your physician to arrange for you to wear an outpatient heart monitor to rule out any significant disturbances in heart rhythm. I expect you'll be normal.
