Can i travel to the kruger national park with my 4 weeks old baby?

Some thoughts: A 4 wk old will often travel better than an older toddler/kid but there are some concerns. Any febrile illness at that age is treated as an emergency. Are you sure the baby will not encounter those who may infect it with illness? Will there be adequate local hospital support if you go? You may want to contact the kids doc for their input.

Infant: I am always concerned about taking infants into public because of their relative lack of immunity

Would not recommend: At this age, the baby's immunity is not well developed, so possible contact to others who are not your well family and close friends is not recommended. The travel also depends on how far you're going and what medical care would be available if there were to be a problem. So best to wait till the baby is older.
