Myth: I have seen this offered up as a treatment by many of the zealous pro-breastfeeding crowd. I have also seen plenty of evidence it is worthless for such a use. Breast milk should go into the infant it is designed to feed.

It may: warm compresses can often soothe sore eyes. You can soak the compress in warm water, but breast milk or other liquids can be used.
