FSH levels: Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is secreted to 'coerce" the ovum from the ovary. If no response is detected , FSH will ratchet higher and higher if no egg is forthcoming. When the ovary is depleted of viable eggs, the FSH will reach an astronomically high value. At age 37 your ovary may still be producing eggs albeit only occasionally. Re-check the FSH again in 3 months if still menstruating
