Is it too late to get a flu shot? i was finally able to get a hold of flu vaccines in june and want to vaccinate the family but is it too late? my pharmacist said it will do more harm than good?!?

Some thoughts: The flu is a generic term for many strains of the disease. At any one moment there are multiple strains circling the globe & international air travel keeps it going. Flu strains mutate & an effort is made to put protection in 3-4 of the most common in each shot. use of an older flu shot shouldn't hurt you, but may not protect against new season strains.(just the older strains)

Wrong vaccine: The vaccines available in June are for the preceding winter. Wait until this year's vaccine is available.
