May be cyst: Cyst formation following injections, including vaccinations, are not uncommon. Some get infected with increasing redness and pain which may require incision and drainage. But that usually happens in the next few weeks. A cyst that has lasted for months should be examined by the doctors to see if it needs any intervention. In the meantime apply some heat and take a 5-7 day course of ibuprofen.
