hi doc. i have anal warts that are very irritating and itchy at times. i saw a gp 3 days ago and he gave me biocort which doesnt seem to make a difference. what should i now do?

Options: These can be removed by laser ablation, freezing or chemical application. Some of these treatments require a general or regional anesthetic. You may want to see a proctologist or dermatologist for a 2nd opinion.

Agree with Dr. F: Get HPV vaccine to prevent infection with other strains of HPV. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!

Could be : testing to the vaginal secretions around the lesion could be checked for HPV dna. Or biospy of the lesions can also show the nature of the lesions.
