What labs do i need to ask to have ordered for checking my thyroid. i was once told i have hypothyroidism at a mental hospital. ?

Your Dr will know: If you discuss your concerns with your physician, s/he should have the knowledge base to request the appropriate labs. In other words, you should not need to tell the doctor what specific lab tests should be ordered. Often times a thyroid panel is ordered. Additional lab tests may be added to that. Take care.
