Go back to regular: The thickener in Novalac AR may be causing your infant to have constipation. The first line of treatment for spitting up is reduced volume and increased frequency feeds. At 8 weeks, your infant should be drinking 6-8oz regular formula every 4-6 hours. Try decreasing it to 6oz every 4 hours and see if that helps with the spitting up. Also, keep your baby upright during the feeding and afterwards.
