COVID 19 testing: I don't know the policy in South Africa. In the US babies that don't have symptoms are not routinely being tested. Usually young children have mild symptoms if they get infected (but not always). See: https://www.chla.org/blog/hospital-news/covid-19-testing-what-parents-need-know. If you want to be on the safe side - discuss with your baby's pediatricina.
