Blood Pressure: In general- the top number (systolic) should be between 90 & less than 120 & the bottom number (diastolic) should be between 60 & less than 80.

See below: The recommendations on ideal BP has changed over the years- 120/80 or lower is considered normal -BP is always fluctuating- goes up with exercise - If you are monitoring your BP, sit for a least five minutes, with your arm at the level of your heart, and then measure - next time you see you doc, you might bring in your automated cuff, and make sure the reading is close to what you doc gets -
