Depends: I did not read coughing as part of your malady and the medication you mention is mainly an anti-tussive or cough suppressant. Wheezing is not a symptom to dismiss and may be a sign of something more going on, a respiratory infection or an asthmatic response. Best to have md consulted. Good luck.
