A member asked:

What is the meaning when the alt on your blood test results is higher then the normal range by a few points and higher then test six months ago ?

Likely nothing: The accepted range listed as normal varies by the lab used. A few points up or down from any reading has little significance even when at the high end of the listed normal. Diseases are often heralded by an increase equal to a doubling of the high normal or more.

Need more into: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the actual numbers. Wish you good health!
