Dialysis: Some patients note increased itching, which is somewhat common with kidney failure, after dialysis. Occasionally the cause is elevated serum phosphorus which dialysis doesn't remove effectively. Google foods "high in phosphorus" & determine if any of these could be eliminated in your mother's diet. Occasionally the dialysis patient reacts to the tubing or medication like heparin used during dialys
