Irregular period: Irregular periods/spotting postpartum is very common. It reflects your body's efforts to recalibrate hormones back to normal levels. They typically resume between 4/6 months. Most postpartum breastfeeding women will use the progestin mini pill for contraception which also causes irregular bleeding or no bleeding. Talk to your Dr about the irregular bleeding and contraception options.
