Ankle injury: If your ankle is showing significant bruising/swelling, and you have difficulty putting pressure on it, you should see a Dr for an xray to rule out a fracture. Otherwise, apply ice for 10 minutes, 3-4 times a day, elevate the extremity, wrap it snugly but not tightly with a supportive wrap, and rest it (no walking, running, standing or exercise). You should see improvement in 2-3 days.
