Get an X-ray : Yes it could be a fracture but the best way to determine this for sure is to obtain diagnostic imaging.

Magic mirror?: Magic mirror i dont have but if you have severe pain, swelling and or deformity get evaluated, you could have a fracture. In the meantime splint, elevate gently, ice, use otc mediations that you take safely regularly and take off any rings on the finger or the adjacent one if you can do it without pain or strsson the injured finger.
