Hi! i am a breastfeeding mother and i have lost a lot of weight. what can i take to gain weight back without harming my baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eat balanced diet: Breastfeeding drains about the equivalent of 400 calories +/- from your metabolic pool. If you have lost weight & it is not due to a treatable illness, increasing your intake by at least that amount should stabilize your weight. Adding more should make you gain. Some dietary supplements like ensure can make this easy. Consider seeing your doc to make sure no other issue is present.
