Take precautions: You all may have been exposed prior to his symptoms showing. Take the proper precautions for everyone in the house, including isolating for 14 days, sanitizing high touch surfaces frequently, avoiding contact with any high risk persons, and frequent hand washing. Get tested if any of you develops symptoms or after 1 week.

COVID 19: Agree with Dr. Kratzberg, The incubation period is usually 2 to 14 days (but can be as quick as one day). The median time if 5 days. You have more chance of having an accurate test result if you have symptoms or you wait at least a few days after COVID 19 contact.
