Antihistamine: For allergic reactions, the first line treatment to start at home is an Antihistamine. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is very effective in the short term and can resolve the issue or give you time to get to the Dr. If you experience lip/tongue swelling or feeling your throat closing, call an ambulance immediately.
