Usually not required: However, find out if your health insurance agency requires a referral. Also, find out if you have benefits to see a psychologist. If yes, you might need to see a psychologist in the health insurers network to have it paid for.

Referral?: After checking w/your insurance carrier to see if clinical psychologists are covered by your policy, you can also ask for a list of providers that your carrier may offer. Alternately, you can call your state psychological association. Many sessions are being conducted virtually these days. Peace and good health.
