Nighttime urination: There are many conditions that can cause excessive nighttime urination in males, including infection, diabetes, drinking too much before bedtime, drinking alcohol or caffeine at night, benign prostate enlargement, and prostate cancer. In middle-aged and older men, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common cause. See your doctor so that they can perform an exam and determine the cause.
