When i went to the doctor for a bladder infection and peed in a cup...did he also check for std's?

Not routinely: The usual urine screening for a UTI does not include STD tests. Such tests require a specific additional lab testing equipment & technician time. They are often sent out to an off site lab. Many STD's require a blood sample.
