Steroids in puberty: In nature, higher testosterone levels are associated with lower voice, increased hairiness and more muscle. Anabolic steroid use has not been shown to do these same things in teens. Use of anabolic steroids use in puberty does cause increased risk for cognitive side effects. (increased aggression/impulsivity, decreased attention, and decreased learning).
