My four year old daughter continuously says she has a sensation to urinate. she goes to the bathroom every 5 minutes or so and 1 out of ten times actually urinates. could this be a bladder infection? the urine does not smell strong at all.

UTI: Yes, a urinary tract infection is the most likely cause. She needs to see a doctor or clinic ASAP for diagnosis and probably antibiotic treatment.

Maybe/not: A lot of 4 yo girls have local irritation at their pee hole from sitting in a soapy water bath without a good rinse. The soap can leave an irritating film that leads to itching/digging/ .This can lead to a UTI or just the symptoms mentioned. Having the kid shower in the tub (spray nozzle) and rinsing the bottom well often ends all related symptoms within a week.
