Review: Please review the use of his medication with your PCP and consider a second opinion during a virtual consultation with Healthtap. A screening test to rule out a UTI may be used during the taper. A taper may also be more rapid and the dose could be lowered every two to three weeks, but please discuss during a consultation. Watch for signs of infection including flu like symptoms and fever.
