Med/ immune reaction: Sometimes, an infection itself or the medication used to treat it can cause an allergic/immune skin reaction. Use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or claritin (loratidine) to control the skin reaction. Once the infection is cleared, the skin reaction should go away on its own. If it persists, make sure she see a DR who can suggest additional treatment.
