A member asked:

What causes sensitive skin. when i've had a bad flu in the past, it's been normal for my skin to be highly sensitive. touching my healthy arm skin is irritating. now i have this when i'm healthy. there's no rash of any kind. simply irritation?

Allodynia: This heightened sensitivity of the skin to touch can be due to a type of neuropathy of small skin nerve fibers. Another theory is that it's caused by lack of healthy sleep. I don't think it's a well understood condition. I'm unsure of whether a neurologist could give you better information about this condition.
