A member asked:

My daughter had an argument with me and ended up crying, and she started to hyperventilate and it was all normal but after she started to heavily breathe and take breaths in very quickly and it lasted for about 15 she also was sweating. what was it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hyperventilating: When hyperventilating occurs, too much carbon dioxide is breathed out causing the symptoms. Rebreathing the carbon dioxide with a brown paper bag, restores the serum carbon dioxide and thus alleviates the symptoms.
