went for a jog a week ago. after my jog my left knee had swelled up. now its a knot right above my knee cap (in thigh) and it feels like pulling in my knee and thigh. what could this be? i can walk on it, its not swollen anymore.not painful

Bursitis: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. What you described suggest a problem with a bursa. It would be prudent to see your doctor. Wish you good health!
