Virulence: These viruses often mutate and can become either more or less virulent. Time will tell. The experience thus far in Australia shows much less cases in their second wave at this time which is their winter.

COVID 19: It appears that it has mutated a number of times. The virus coming from Italy appears to be more contagious than the original virus from China. It may become more virulent in the future.
