Hi i had an operation 10 years a go and after the op constantly have diarrhea i first thought it was normal but it is realy getting out of hand every time i eat just after i swallow i run to bathroom to do number 2 i tried diarrhea meds not working?

Urgent diarrhea: You don't mention what type of surgery was performed. Some gastrointestinal operations result in a dumping syndrome which includes urgent bm's. Another possibility is a hyperactive gastrocolic reflex. However these shouldn't produce over 10 bm's per day. A stool culture should be done to check for enteric pathogens including parasites. Consult a gastroenterologist for a workup and treatment
