I had a fissure in ano operation 2 months ago.although the pain is gone now, after i passed a stool it is a bit swollen/tight afterwards. especially on the right side where the fissure was. is this normal, will it get better still?

Every time my stool is thick, i feel that my anal fissure tears again. It hurts for a few days then goes away after the defecation is smoother. Is surgery needed?
