A member asked:

I have recently realized that on my left leg there is a vein that pops out when i put weight on my leg. i had completely forgotten about it for weeks till yesterday when my leg started pinching slightly. should i be worried if i am joining the army?

Prominent vein: A prominent lower leg vein on weight bearing isn't necessarily a problem but could indicate an inadequate valve in that vein. Do you have a family history of varicose veins? Pain, tenderness, and leg swelling would be worrisome signs of phlebitis and you don't have any of these symptoms.
