I have mono but ive been better for a week. i worked out with heavy weights 3 times because i felt better, but i just recently was told not to due to risk of rupturing my spleen. can i workout my arms without putting my spleen at risk?

Some basics: The spleen does enlarge in some patients but not all. Things like tackle football, horse riding, wrestling, etc are the trauma related sports I caution with mono kids, but only if their spleen is enlarged. I wouldn't consider simple lifting to be much risk & certainly not arm & leg routine. Unless your doc said your spleen was enlarged I would not worry about it.
