Many causes: Eyelid swelling can have many causes, including excess water under the lids (from allergies, excess rubbing), inflammation (allergies and other forms), infections, and other conditions. Treatment for the swelling depends on the cause. See an eye doctor if you develop swelling that does not disappear within a couple of days.
