A member asked:

What do you suggest if my eyelids get swollen and red?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eyelid redness with: swelling is usually indicative of an allergic reaction. Contact allergy can be responsible and treated with topical ophthalmic anti-inflammatory ointment prescribed from your ophthalmologist. Other common causes could include seasonal allergies, blepharitis (eyelid margin infection) and variations thereof, eczema and infection. Have it looked at by your eyecare provider for definitive diagnosis.
