Swollen eyelids: The treatment for a swollen eyelid is dependent on the cause of the swelling. An infection (like a stye) is treated with warm compresses and at times, antibiotics. Allergic changes often respond to cold compresses and anti-histamines. Typically the swelling will get better on its own, but if it doesn't or you have severe symptoms, then see your ophthalmologist.
