I know not to listen to anything trump says about injecting covid patients, but if i let alcohol hand sanitizer soak in for 10 minutes, does that give me longer hand protection for the next hour as i grab groceries?

Hand sanitizer: If you're using the sanitizer properly, you're applying it then rubbing it in until it dries, which takes less than 30 seconds. After that, if you contact the virus, it will be on your hands. Regardless of hand sanitizer use, also wash hands several times a day with soap and water and try to keep your hands away from your face. Contact with groceries probably is nearly zero risk anyway.

Hand sanitizer: You would dry out your hands needlessly if you soaked for 10 minutes. Just apply and rub -it would provide the same protection.
