Is my three month old dehydrated? she's been having about 5 wet diapers (not all very wet), and two or three dirty a day. she seemed to be losing weight but she seems to be doing great, very talkative and happy. nothing odd in her diapers, no fever.

Basics : A 3 mo baby who wets a diaper every 6 hrs is considered hydrated. Newer diapers have a gel that pulls moisture away from the skin so they often fell less wet. In the hospital setting we weigh diapers to decide pee output. The thriving baby described in the post seems very normal.
