General rules: To affect the fetus any medication/drug must enter the bloodstream where it would then be carried to the fetus. None of the OTC creams or lotions have anything that penetrates the skin deep enough to enter the blood. A few of the prescription creams with specialized skin transfer drugs would be a problem, but you can discuss this with your doc.
