Will taking cold medicine in first few weeks of pregnancy harm the fetus ?

Early pregnancy prior to the organs developing is not a vulnerable time for the embryo. Don't worry. You should have a routine ultrasound at about 14 weeks and they can look at the entire fetus to ensure that all looks ok. Many pregnant women have exposure like this and do just fine.
