Obesity is curable: Just being overweight or obese has risks. The National Cancer Institute, on its website, lists several cancers whose risks are increased in an obese person. The cancers are: breast cancer in post-menopausal women (women after menopause), endometrial cancer (cancer of the uterus' lining), colon cancer, kidney cancer, and esophagus cancer (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach).

Hip Pain to Ankle: Certainly this must be very uncomfortable. There are many diagnoses that could pertain to your symptoms. At times, because this pain goes to your ankle, this could be from your back, perhaps your lumbar spine. I think it would be a good idea to see your health care provider for a work up and perhaps an orthopedic specialist for an evaluation.
