Melanoma: Surveillance is key in melanoma prevention/ early detection and changes should be promptly noticed and addressed. While some changes may be obvious, such as doubling in size, some other changes may be subtle, such as border irregularities and partial color changes. You are doing the right thing by having it checked.

Watch it: You may watch and wait. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor. Wish you good health!
