Not for sure: there is anecdotal evidence that hydrocholoroquine/choloroquine might be effective vs COVID-19 but comparative studies are not complete yet.

COVID 19: Some people have touted the benefits of Hydroxychloroquine & chloroquine phosphate based on anectodal information. However, there isn't current scientific evidence for this. The FDA cautioned against use of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for COVID-19 outside of the hospital setting or a clinical trial due to risk of heart rhythm problems.
