Several steps: You can Google an action plan form at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America website (www.aafa.org/asthma-treatment-action-plan) and take it in when you see your doc. S/he will provide you with parameters for the stages (green, yellow, red) along with instructions on the prescription meds needed if/when different stages are present.

Ask one's primary Dr: You are posting on our free, public, informational forum. This forum is not for advice or care. That said, every asthma patient can make a plan with her primary care doctor. Sometimes a video consultation with a doctor, such as on HealthTap can lead to an asthma plan. First, a patient needs to describe the severity, frequency, and triggers of her asthma. She then needs instructions for each drug.
