F/u to last question. waking up with sore throat that goes away. whats best way to figure out if its allergies or acid reflux, besides taking meds for both? have omeprazole & loratadine.

AM sore throat: If your throat is truly sore rather than itchy, I doubt an allergic cause. If it has been occurring for only a few days, a viral infection is more likely, but if more long-lasting, it could be extreme dryness from sleeping with your mouth open for hours. As for reflux,I would expect some associated heartburn and or acid taste. You could have an Otolaryngologist examine and advise you. ?smoker

Allergy/acid reflux : Hi, symptoms of heartburn/burping/belching/bitter taste/nausea/ dry cough maybe be associated with acid reflux. On the other hand, runny nose/itchy nose/post nasal drip/dry cough as well can be associated with allergies.
