Episcleritis : This could be episcleritis. Involvement of both eyes concurrently suggests an underlying systemic disease. Involvement of only one eye can too be seen with a systemic process. Redness, irritation, & watering of the eye is the usual presentation. Pain is unusual but can be observed with chronic or other forms. Ocular complications are uncommon but exam by an ophthalmologist should be consulted.

Yes: Episcleritis in one eye is far more common than in both eyes. This could be a new episode-- see your doctor.
