Ordinarily depends : On the mg dose size, duration you have been on it, other medications, seizure history and how many you are taking a day at the beginning of the taper. For example if it is 1 mg twice a day, one could decrease to a total of 1 3/4 for 7- 14 days, 1 1/2 to 7-14 days, 1 1/4mg for 7-14 days, 1 for that interval, 3/4 then 1/2 then 1/4 and stop. One could utilize as needed doses for 7-10 days. 1/4.
