Paternity test: Dates during pregnancy are commonly off by days to weeks. Determining who the father is according to dates would be difficult, and may be result in a wrong answer. The best way to determine the father would be to do a paternity test once the child is born. A simple swab of the inside of the cheek for both father and child could determine paternity. Blood tests are also available if legally needed
